Bramhall High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

We will, in most circumstances, endeavour to discuss all concerns with parents/carers about their child/ren; however, there may be exceptional circumstances where we discuss concerns with Social Care/Police without parental/carer knowledge (in accordance with Child Protection procedures) or work with other external agencies without parental knowledge.

Such occasions can arise when referrals, in relation to a child’s attendance, are made to Education Welfare (as detailed fully in our Attendance Policy) or when a young person, aged 16 and deemed to be competent, gives their own consent to access certain health services in school.

We will always aim to maintain a positive relationship with parents/carers.
